The goal of our club is to help home brewers learn more about the fine art of hand-crafted, home made beer. Membership experience ranges from beginner to advanced, and all are welcome.  Our season runs from September through to June. We meet the first Tuesday of every month except for September. In that month, we meet on the second Tuesday. Our club meets at 7:30 pm, check the Calender of Events for meeting location details. A list of meeting dates and topics can be found there as well.

There is a $35 membership fee. This fee entitles members to the “club brew” beer ingredients and their meal for the year end wrap-up party. Non-members are welcome to attend meetings.

I am so surprised I haven’t t seen this site before now. What a great group! I have been a home brewer for about 10years. With all the buzz of the taprooms and craft brewers popping up in Winnipeg, there is a real buzz in the city.. That’s how I found this site. I will check out a meeting for sure. Seems like a great group

    Hello Brewbombers,

Due to my work schedule making it out to events has been next to impossible, however this could very well change this fall. Id really like to be a part of this community. Im about 50 batches in and flying solo here, would really like to get to know what others are doing out there.

I check back from time to time on the site and you folks have a lot of good information, Id certainly like to know and learn more.

Do you know when the meetings will start in the fall? Can I be added to the mailing list as I am interested in joining! Thanks.

Hi, came across the site while searching brewing videos. My wife bought me a starter kit back in April for my birthday and since then I have been hooked! I have made a few coopers kits and brew Canada kits, and having a blast doing it. Great hobby! I’m looking to learn more as I am still very new at this and have just done kits, would love to join and learn from some of you that have much more experience. Would love to be added to mailing list and sent some info on how to join. Thanks and CHEERS!

H Cory, you’ll definitely learn a lot from the Brew Bombers. Meetings start up again in the fall but for the meantime I’ll add you to the mailing lists. Check the calendar of events for this years schedule and times. You can pay your dues ($30 which is a great value and includes a beer kit) at the meeting. One tip I’ll give you as new guy myself last year is to start watching some All Grain Brewing Videos on Youtube. It made understanding things a lot easier. Welcome aboard! – Brett

After making wine for 15 years and brewing 2 canned beer kits 10 years ago I finally just got into extract brewing. Thanks to the great advice from grape & grain it’s been a stunning success. It’s amazing just how great brewing with fresh grain and fresh hops tastes in the end. With only 2 batches under my belt I’m trying my luck at my own recipe next and am quite excited about it. With the government cranking the screws on beer taxes again, this couldn’t have come at a better time. It’s a bit late in your season to get involved but could you at least add me to your mailing list?

    • BrewSec says:

Hi John, great to hear of your rekindled love for brewing good beer! I will send you an e-mail and add you to our mailing list.

    Hey Guys,

Got my fist brew on the go. It’s looking good. I just stumbled on your club and it looks like a fun and informative group. I’d love to join. Could you add me to your email List ?I’m hoping I can get to Febs meeting but my work rotation some times buggers things up. Look forward to meeting you all.

  12. Joe says:

I just discovered your club and would like to attend your Feb meeting to see if membership is for me. Please provide further details.

Thanks for taking an interest in the Winnipeg Brew Bombers homebrewing club. We meet on the first Tuesday of every month, except for Sept. & Jan. Due to the holidays, we meet the second Tuesday of those months. We alternate between meeting at the Grape and Grain (726 Osbourne) and Half Pints Brewing Company (550 Roseberry) and sometimes at Fort Garry Brewing (130 Lowson). You can check out the “events” page on our website (www.winnipegbrewbombers.ca) to see what some of our meeting themes are. We basically meet, talk about the brewing themed item for the evening and share some homebrew with each other!!
You are more than welcome to attend a meeting and see if it’s for you. If you do choose to join, it would typically be $25 for the year. Because the year is almost half over, late joining members are being ask to pay $10 for their club dues. You may audit the first meeting to see if it is a fit for you.

We are meeting next on Feb 5th. Come out and enjoy some malt forward beer and vote for your favourite.

If you’d like, I’d be more than happy to add you to our club mailing list.

I’ve been brewing on my own for about 5 years now however I’m wanting to take the next step and learn to do a brew from scratch as opposed to buying the wort and going from there. How do I go about obtaining a membership to the Brew Bombers?
