October Meeting

EDIT: THERE WILL BE AN RSVP REQUIRED. If we have space, the Free Members can come along – just shoot me a message.

Our first meeting of the 2022-23 season is coming up fast.

7pm October 4th at Oxus Brewing on Sanford.

No major lessons or presentations planned, I’d like to discuss some ideas and plans for the club.

Looking forward to seeing you all.

Voting for the new President is now open!

Hey Everyone,

The vote for the new club president is now open! As mentioned earlier I will hold the vote open until 6pm tomorrow. You will need to log into a google account to vote. This is needed so that I can limit the entry to one per person. If you don’t have a google account, it’s easy to sign up for one.

Here’s the link to the vote: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfEvsPzGB2p-2Mie2cs0CKcDBwn5g3eTnwxlxJsf9wGQnOWag/viewform?usp=sf_link

Windup BBQ – Last Meeting of the Season

Hey Everyone,

It’s been another interesting year with the Pandemic. I’m very happy that things have started opening up again and we’ve been able to meet up in person. I’m even happier to be able to do the end of year BBQ again!

The June (final) meeting of the season will be pushed back to Friday July 8th at Half Pints. This will give everyone a bit more time to brew their club kit for the competition and for the judging to happen. The prizes for the comp will be:

  • 1st place: $75 GC to G2G
  • 2nd place: $50 GC to G2G
  • 3rd place: $25 GC to G2G.

The drop off deadline for the comp is June 29th @ 6pm. The drop off location will be at Grain to Glass. When you drop off your entry make sure to provide two bottles that are labelled with your Name, email address, and a short description of what you brewed. Your entry will be removed if you don’t have that info. Also, you are only allowed one style entry. Meaning if you split your batch into multiple styles you can only enter one style. As usual, we’ll sort and anonymize the entries for the judges so it’ll be a blind tasting.

The executive have talked it over and we’ll be doing a BBQ pig roast this year. The BBQ will still be pot-luck so there will be a sign up for people to bring sides (so we don’t all bring potato salad). At the BBQ we’ll be announcing the winners of the club comp as well.

The BBQ is open to both free and full membership levels and you can bring a guest. There will be an RSVP link on our website posted soon. This is required so we know how many people are coming.

I’m hoping to see everyone at the BBQ.

Tonight’s Meeting @ Oxus

If you didn’t see the web site post or the facebook post, the in person meeting RSVP form is live. You can sign up by logging into your account on the website and going to Member Area -> Member Events (same as before).

To attend you must be RSVP’d on that form.

Tonight’s meeting at Oxus (at 7pm) will primarily be a social event, so be sure to bring your home brew!
